Sunjay is a PreLaw student studying Political Science at the University of California, San Diego. His political journey began in 2020, creating his own political Instagram account that amassed over 17 million views at its peak & working locally where he received school-district wide recognition for his work to advance social inclusivity on his home campus.

He later went on to serve as the Vice President of College Democrats of UCSD, San Diego Regional Director of CA College Democrats & National Communications Director of College Democrats of America. Now, he’s an Advisor for the College Democrats of UCSD & National Outreach Director for the CA College Democrats alongside his role as National Vice President; within the College Democrats of America’s previous election cycle he received the most votes of any candidate.

Outside of the collegiate realm, Sunjay was the youngest superdelegate in the state of CA during the 2024 DNC Convention, has been featured on various news outlets including 4 features on the New York times, and spearheaded the California Democratic Party’s digital outreach to young voters for the 2024 election cycle. He plans on attending law school and running for office later in his career as a champion of a just and modernized economy in the wake of AI, compassion for those with differing political affiliations and a political system that is no longer dominated by corporate & foreign interests.
