OUR STATES
NATIONAL COUNCIL
The National Council is the legislative body of CDA where delegates of our State Federations and Caucuses come together to vote on resolutions, learn about what other states are currently working on, hear updates from our Executive Board members, and network with like-minded college students who are passionate about making a difference in their community.
Here’s a few things you should know about the National Council:
The National Council is comprised of four delegates from each state, as determined by each State Federation, as well as each Identity Caucus Chair.
1
These delegates are able to vote and speak on items brought before the National Council.
2
While just the National Council Delegates and Identity Caucus Chairs are able to vote, everyone is welcome to join our meetings, listen to our speakers, and speak during the “Public Comment” section of our agenda!

Creating a new State Federation? We know it can be tricky. Here’s a simplified checklist of everything you should keep on your radar. And don’t worry, CDA will be there every step of the way! Feel free to contact our President, Vice President, or National Council Chair with any questions you have!
NC RESOLUTION TEMPLATE
We know Parliamentary Procedure can be confusing sometimes. At CDA, we don’t want that to get in the way of your chapter’s participation at National Council meetings. That’s why NC Chair Levi Jones created a template. Now, all your resolutions can be drafted faster than you can say “CDA!”
