MEET NATIONAL COUNCIL Vice-CHAIR

Stella Camerlengo

Stella is a youth organizer and political communicator from Novi, Michigan. Currently, she’s studying Political Science and International Studies at American University in Washington D.C. A first generation American, woman, and advocate for inclusion, Stella has a passion for Democratic politics and getting young folks involved in the political process, ensuring they see a bit of themselves in all levels of government—from local to national.

Beyond her role as the former Chair of the College Democrats of America’s Rules Committee, Stella has been actively involved with the Michigan College Democrats, where she began as the Federal Affairs Director and now serves as the Communications Director. Over the past summer, she worked in Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s Communications Division and volunteered extensively on the Harris campaign. Currently, she works at BGR Group, a public policy and communications firm based in D.C., Austin, Atlanta, and London.

In her free time, Stella figure skates, enjoys time out in nature, and has a deep-rooted interest in good journalism. She can often be found cooped up in the corner of her favorite local coffee shop drinking a copious amount of iced lavender lattes.
