WASHINGTON, D.C. – July 21st, 2024 – As College Democrats, we thank President Joe Biden for his commitment to public service and stand behind his decision to pass the torch to a new presidential nominee. President Biden’s administration has been one of the most successful in history – from advancing climate action and expanding healthcare access to fighting for social justice and equity, his administration has set a strong foundation for the future.

In 2020, President Biden stated that he is a bridge to the next generation of leaders. As young people, we respect President Biden’s fulfillment of this promise. We stand committed to ensuring that Democrats win in November and advance the policies young people care deeply about: economic prosperity, workers’ rights and consumer protections, gun control, and the right to reproductive freedoms and healthcare. Young people understand the stakes of this election, and we will work tirelessly to ensure these freedoms are secured by electing Vice President Kamala Harris as President of the United States of America.

We are energized to organize nationwide and ready to support Vice President Harris. It is time to rally the country behind the protection of fundamental freedoms and rights that are at risk. We must unite against Project 2025 and Former President Donald Trump’s radical and undemocratic policies. The College Democrats of America look forward to the upcoming Democratic National Convention and will work tirelessly to ensure young people’s voices are heard loud and clear in the selection of the next presidential nominee.
